World of Wonder: part 8

We begin the new year with a return to the pages of World of Wonder and a splash of colour. World of Wonder was a British educational magazine that ran in the early 1970s. I have — thanks to a very kindly soul donating them — a fairly reasonable run of issues. They're a bit battered but many of the illustrations still shine out and in them I've found beautiful examples of work by Ron Embleton, Gerry Embleton, Don Lawrence, C. L. Doughty, Wilf Hardy, Angus McBride and many others. I don't have a complete set, nor do I intend scanning every illustration... that way lies madness. But as I skim through the issues, I'm scanning a handful of illustrations that I think are particularly nice.
